SPATIAL-TEMPORARY VARIABILITY OF THE ANTARCTIC SEA ICE CLOSENESS

On the basis of the data set of BADC HadISST ICE for the period of 1969-2002 years seasonal and interannual variability of the Antarctic sea ice closeness is investigated. Interannual variations of the sea ice closeness on the climatic scale are estimated. The cross-correlation between the sea ice closeness, the air temperature at Antarctic stations and atmospheric circulation indices of SOI (Southern Oscillation) and AAO (Antarctic Oscillation) are obtained.
