THE COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF RASTER AND OBJECT-ORIENTED GIS-TECHNOLOGIES FOR GOLD-ORE OBJECTS PREDICTION

The results of the comparative analysis of GIS-technologies, based on raster and object-oriented representation of geologic-geophysical and aerospace materials, are examined. The technique of geodata processing in geoinformation systems of RAPID and Definiens Developer, on the example of solving the task of predicting gold-ore objects, is described. The results of influence of various recognition methods, of form and compactness parameters of investigated objects on the forecasting outcome are given. It is experimentally shown, that the technology of GIS RAPID is more effective by the criteria of type I and type II error.
