PROSPECTS OF DISCOVERING A HUGE HYDROCARBON DEPOSIT IN THE ZMIINY ISLE REGION

The isle of Zmiiny is part of the Kiliysko-Zmiiny uplift structure, within  the borders of the uplift the Devonian deposits of  the Paleozoic expose. The analysis of geological and geophysical data has shown that the biggest thick complex of Paleozoic deposits characteristic of the Fore-Dobrudzha deep are situated here. Geological and geoelectrical grounds for forming a large oil and gas field in the Devonian deposits are presented. For a more rapid discovery of hydrocarbon deposits here, it is suggested that a parametric well, 4000,0 m. deep, should be drilled on the isle of Zmiiny and a detailed geophysical research by the method of electrophysical prognosis oil and gas deposits with the aim to determine the outline of oil and gas presence should be fulfilled.
