A GEOELECTRICAL MODEL OF A HYDROCARBON DEPOSIT

The analysis of the experimental relations between parameters of the electromagnetic field and hydrocarbon deposits made it possible to find natural relationship between oil-gas deposit and typical features of the electrical field formation. This allowed us to develop a geoelectrical model of a hydrocarbon deposit and to discover a method of electrophysical forecast of oil and gas presence (EFOGP). It permits not only to detect a deposit in sedimentary rocks and crystalline basement but also to determine their profile and depth of occurrence.
