Fresh groundwater resources take on strategic importance for drinking water supply under ever-worsening surface water quality. Efficient water resources management can be realized only by development of a complex of multi-scale hydrogeological models considering the influence of various technogenic and natural factors on the water-exchange geosystem. Using the Kyiv groundwater field as an example, it is demonstrated the possibility of estimating the groundwater exploitable resources with the implementation of supercomputer. Findings indicated the possibilities for significant increase of a share of fresh groundwater in the structure of centralized water supply for Kyiv. Further improvement of created models can facilitate maximal functional conformation between model and natural-anthropogenic conditions. And as a result, this will enable the most comprehensive estimation of groundwater resources.
