RESEARCH RESULTS OF THE TOTAL SUSPENDED MATTER (TSM) FIELD STRUCTURE FOR THE AZOV AND BLACK SEA COASTS APPOSITIVELY TO THE TASKS OF MARINE GEOLOGY AND ECOLOGY

The paper shows the possibility of operative survey of a 3-demensional field concentration of the TSM in water with the help of sounder turbidimeter. An analysis of the data allows to value the kinematic particularities of suspension currents, reveal the sources of the TSM distribution, find out the areas of coastal and bottom erosion, as well as the zones of TSM accumulation. Presented in the article are the results of naval research that demonstrate these characteristics for different areas of the Azov and Black Sea coasts. The paper gives expediency and efficiency of the information use of a 3-dimensional field of the TSM to solve a wide range of applied problems including marine geology and ecology.
