Lviv region territory belongs to a 6-point seismic zone. It is the contact area of West and East Europan platforms. The purpose of the article is to study local earthquakes as an indicator of geodynamic activity of this area. Over a historical period (from 1000 AD), a number of earthquakes with the I = 5¸6  have occurred here; for three of them (Shklo, 1670; V. Mosty, 1875; Komarne, 2007) localization of the sources was defined. The study gives a brief geological and tectonic characteristic of their focal zones. The authors traced the connection between these earthquakes and vertical Holocene movements of Volyno-Podolia and Precarpathians territory. The10.11.2007 earthquake with a magnitude of МD = 2,3 and epicenter in the village Komarne (Lviv region) was considered in detail, which indicates the recent activity of the territory. By a complex of geological and geophysical data, the authors analyzed the localization of this earthquake source in relation to tectonic structures of the subregion and to the features of its modern geodynamics. It was determined that the earthquake source is confined to the Gorodok fault. The features of the wave pattern of this earthquake were analyzed. By the azimuthal hodograph method, the authors determined the break propagation directions in this source, and found that the direction of the main break coincides in plan with the Gorodok fault. The study determines focal and dynamic parameters of this earthquake, which indicate the distribution of the break along the prearranged geological fault. Characteristics of the modern state of the seismotectonic activity of the Gorodok fault were given.

Keywords: Lviv region, еarthquake, tectonic, focal and dynamic parameters.
