UPDATE OF STRUCTURAL CONSTRUCTIONS AND FORECASTING OF THE GEOLOGICAL CROSS – SECTION DATA TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE DATA OF WAVE ACOUSTIC LOGGING

Purpose. The papre deals with improving the methods for determining  inclination of reflection boundaries according to the  phase correlation diagrams data of wave acoustic logging; testing  the proposed method for structural interpretation of wave acoustic logging data by comparing the results of determining the angles of boundaries bedding with the dipmeter survey data; ascertaining   the idea of determining the density of rocks based on the use of the kinematic and dynamic parameters of the acoustic signal and comparing the obtained values with the density logging data.
Design /methodology /approach. The theoretical and full wave simulation was used to justify the proposed algorithms. Experimental borehole studies were conducted using the technique of full-wave acoustic logging. The developed methodological approaches to the interpretation of acoustic data are aimed at the parametric provision of seismic survey.
Findings. The efficiency of the proposed algorithms for interpreting wave fields is confirmed by the processing of wave acoustic data carried out in the wells of the Precarpathian trough, DDR, the shelf of the Black Sea. The specified slope angles of the layers are in good agreement with the structural structures according to seismic data and inter-borehole correlation, and are confirmed by the results of the dipmeter survey. The criterion of the reliability of determining the density according to acoustic logging was the density of rocks obtained as a result of density logging (GGL-L). The density curves in the borehole section obtained as a result of processing both methods (AL and GGL-D) are identical. The trends in averaged density data are almost superimposed. The maximum relative deviation of the trend of the density curve according to AL data from the trend according to GGL-D does not exceed 4%.
Practical value /implications. The use of the developed methodological approaches in interpretating  wave acoustic logging data makes it possible to increase the efficiency of geological and geophysical work. The proposed approaches to the interpretation of AK wave patterns will facilitate the rapid acquisition of important geological information on the structure and properties of the near-wellbore space necessary for the parametric support of seismic surveys and prediction of the geological section.
