“GRAVITATIONAL TOMOGRAPHY” – PRACTICE OVERTAKING THEORY?

Dolgal A.S., Sharhimullin A.F.

This paper considers a number of questions, connected with “gravitational tomography” – a line in interpretation, aimed at getting space distribution of density in a studied volume of geological environment without using classical inverse problem methods of  gravimetry. Examples of algorithms and interpretating schemata are given. An attempt of considering “gravitational tomography” from the positions of geoimage data processing theory is made. Directions of further research are offered.
